David Dalton (MISCP MCSP MSOM MMACP) David graduated with a BSc(Hons) in 1998 from Keele University, David worked extensively accross the UK before returning to work in Ireland. During his time in the UK he had the good fortune to work with many elite and professional athletes, as well as many highly esteemed surgeons. He returned to Dublin in 2000 and subsequently worked in many of the private practices in and around south County Dublin, whilst establishing himself as an emminent musculoskeletal manipulative therapist. He currently divides his working week between several Dublin clinics. David still actively treats patients as well as mentoring the newer members of staff. As David maintains the standards at the clinics and works between all sites, if you need to be treated by him, please book your appointment early.
Andrew O Brien (MISCP MCSP MAPA) Andrew O’Brien joined the team in 2006. Andrew graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney in 2001. He completed his basic grade rotations at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, before working in western NSW then moving on to Specialise in Orthopaedics and Outpatient Physiotherapy. He has worked in the public and private sectors in Australia and the UK, as well as in Primary Care and Rehabilitation centres with the Ministry of Defence. Andrew has a strong background in exercise based physiotherapy as an adjunct to manual therapy and is a Level 1 and 2 qualified Clinical Pilates therapist. This enables him to provide specialised exercise programmes for acute and chronic back and neck pain. He also uses Pilates based programmes in the rehabilitation of sports injuries, an approach particularly useful for the ‘injury prone’ sports person. He also completed a Certificate in Spinal & Manual therapy in 2006. Andrew has a strong interest in all sports, most particularly rugby and triathlon, and has worked as an on field physio for rugby teams. He also previously worked for the Australian Rugby Union as a Video Analyst. Ciaran Dalton (MISCP) Ciaran Dalton joined the team in late 2006. He obtained his degree in the University of Brighton, where he had the privilege of studying under some of the countries top lecturers. He spent a brief spell in the UK where he gained particular experience in outpatients, management of neurological disorders and cardiac rehab. Since joining us, Ciaran has gone on to achieve his AACP membership, allowing him to practice acupuncture, particularly in the management and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. He also has an interest in biomechanical dysfunction and orthotics. He has also completed examinations in spinal manipulative therapy. Currently, the conditions he treats range from spinal pain to sports injuries. He is a keen footballer and has a significant interest in all sports. In the near future, he is hoping to compete in the Dublin marathon. |
